RULES AND CONDITIONS

*Additional COVID-19 safety measures please read:

  • One way system in place for entrance and exit to the building (please note this does involves steps so if this is unsuitable use the same door to exit following social distancing).
  • Use Hand Sanitiser before entering
  • Follow safe distancing.
  • Masks to be worn in Entrance Hall
  • Use Sanitiser spray to clean down changing room before you leave.
  • Windows in the Entrance area will be kept open to allow air flow.
  • Guidance advises that customers arrive “beach ready” to limit time in the changing rooms. Showers are available but it is preferred if you restrict the use and shower at home. Hair Dryers will not be in use for the time being.
  • Maximum number of pool users is 6, or 2 family groups up to 8.

Using the Pool

Minimum of 2 persons and maximum of 8, at each session for safety reasons. All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times when using the pool. At least one adult in each party must be a competent swimmer No lifeguard is present; therefore, children are the sole responsibility of the adult who accompanies them. The deep end is 6ft. 6ins. deep - non swimmers and young children should remain in the shallow end. Care should be taken that small children are not carried into the deep end by the swim jet current. Never leave children unaccompanied in the pool building at any time, or outside in the patio area (deep fish pond in adjacent garden). No diving (Risk of neck injury). No running. No glass in pool hall under any circumstances (Broken glass necessitates draining the pool).

Hot Tub Spa Rules

Always shower or swim before getting into the Hot Tub. No children under the age of 6 years. Children are very susceptible to overheating. Children over the age of 6 must be supervised in the Hot Tub. Do not allow users to go under water in the Hot tub as hair can become caught in jets and lead to drowning. DO NOT use the Hot Tub if you have a skin, ear or other infection. DO NOT use Hot Tub if you have a medical condition without discussing it with your doctor first. Pregnant women and elderly persons should also consult their doctor first. DO NOT use if taking any medication that makes you drowsy or affects your circulation. NO ALCOHOL, drinks or food and no glass or other containers. DO NOT TAKE PAPER DRINKING CUPS into the Hot Tub as they can get pulled into the filter. Use steps to enter Hot Tub. Do not jump or attempt to dive into Hot Tub. Never jump or dive from Hot Tub into pool. No electrical appliances in Pool Hall or near Hot Tub. Spend no more than 15 minutes at a time in the Hot Tub. DO NOT tamper with controls or fittings of Hot Tub. Never add your own chemicals such as oils or bubble baths. This Hot Tub will be kept at 38 C. Always check digital display NEVER get in tub if temperature is above 40C.

General

Do not leave items of value in the Changing area. Anyone visiting Longburgh Pool is advised to insure against appropriate risks. The facilities at Longburgh Pool are for the benefit of all our guests, any person misusing these facilities will not be invited back. Visitors are advised not to swim alone. Swimming pools are dangerous places -please supervise children at all times when using the pool. By proceeding to the Booking Page, you are accepting the rules and conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure everyone attending a booking is also made aware of the rules and conditions, a copy of which can be found on the changing room walls. The owners of the facilities accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to property or injury to persons.
